Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I'm not a fan of Old Navy's clothes and to be quite honest, I don't even really like Children's Place clothes. I find that Carters and Target's clothes are the best and wash really well.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I like both Old Navy and Childrens Place but I agree with the above poster and think that Carter's has really cute play clothes. I love the onsies with the matching pants for DS.

Carters is my fav! Target clothes do hold up really well too, but for me it's always a hit and miss there with the selection.
I prefer childrens place over old navy though, childrens place doens't shrink as much and hold up pretty well.
Old navy though has it's ups too, if you are just looking for comfy clothes to hang out in, they are less expensive than CP. That's just how i see it

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I believe Old Navy has a better selection than CP. Children's Place has a lot of screen-printed tops and that annoys me.
ETA: I do like the jeans and pants at CP. Oh, and I'm talking about girl clothes infant/toddler.

Carters and Gymboree. I also like Little Me and Hartstrings. I will never by from Children's place. I just don't like the store at all. I will get stuff from ON like sweat pants and things like that.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I would choose Old Navy..I buy play clothes for DS at Childrens Place because after one wash they look "old"
I have found the best clothes for DS at Denny's (during the 90% off sale),Gap, Janie and Jack (special occassions), BRU, BBB & Kohls!

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I've never had any issues with CP clothes, my only grip is that the selection for boys is really light. I like Old Navy but again not a good selection for boys. Since you have girls, I think you'll definitely find a lot of stuff.
Carter's is great, especially when they are having a sale and you can use coupons.

I like CP for playclothes. They mark them down early (fall stuff on clearance already!) and you can always find a 20% off coupon. I picked up some socks in there this week that were $0.19 a pair.

I'm not sure which is better quality. But honestly I haven't had the quality issues that these other people have had. I bought most of DD's clothes from children's place that whole first year and 2 things didn't make it through the wash so I returned them both adn they took them back no questions asked. I like ON stuff but it's more expensive than CP. CP is always cheaper for me b/c there's almost always a sale and a coupon. We also buy a lot of Carter's. It depends on what kind of play clothes you need- inside or outside and what age. DD lived in carter's onesies and pants while she was an infant inside but now that it's outdoor play the light colored soft cotton stuff from there shows too much dirt.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I like both but I won't say that either are real "quality" but that's OK with me. This way I don't spend a lot and if they get ruined it's no big deal.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I find the quality to be about the same...selection wise, childrens place has been stuff....I find Old navy to have nothing in DD's size. (she is 15 mths)

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
Jacob's wardrobe for school and playclothes come from mostly Children's place and Target this year.. Children's place for me runs big and they launder very well. They have really cut eboys clothes in my opinion.
I wasn't too thrilled with Old Navy's selection so far but I will be ordering socks online for him since they didn't have his size..right now they are 10 for $10...

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
So far I like Carters the best. I dont like Old Navy so i probably wont buy from there. Childrens place doesnt have a large selection for boys.
Carters all the way for me I love that store.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I like both, but Old Navy doesn't hold up as well for us and runs small and my DD is on the bigger side. I love the dressier stuff at CP (corduroy skirts). For the least expensive, best quality play clothes, I'd go with Carter's.

I am not a fan of Target and Old Navy. I feel they don't wash well.
I do like Childrens Place and Carters. Or Gymboree only if you could find things on sale or clearance.
eta: and Baby Gab but they aren't cheap

You can't go wrong in either place then. Target is definitely another great place. Honestly all my clothes from CP, ON and Target have been used, washed, spray and washed etc and are all packed away perfectly fine to use if we have another girl. None look junky.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I really liked the CPs pjs...the round rack, zip up footed ones for last winter. I really don't go in there much now though.
ON is okay, I don't think they have the best selection though, but good sales.
I am lucky enough to have a really great gap outlet by me. The prices are so much better then CP or ON.

Re: Better: Old Navy or Childrens Place
I like carters but I find he outgrows carters a lot quicker than CP... I dont have a lot from CP but what I have I love - a zip up sweat shirt and a great pair of jeans.... lots of t-shirts too... he lived in CP shirts this summer....
