Beyonce is the New Mariah Carey
Beyoncé Knowles shocked organisers of a British concert with a string of diva-like demands. An unlimited supply of Pepsi cola and a two-man "love seat" were just a few of the extravagant luxuries the 'Crazy In Love' singer requested before her performance at the BBC Chart Show Live in Brighton on Sunday (11.12.06).
Beyoncé stunned organisers further when she demanded her dressing room be heated to exactly 78 degrees Fahrenheit to maintain her voice.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Beyoncé wants to make sure her vocal chords are in tip-top condition so she needs the temperature to be just right."
Among the other items requested by the pop superstar were boxes of Honeynut Cheerios cereal and a supply of turkey sandwiches.
Despite her flawless performance later that night, Beyoncé failed to impress her British fans with her geographical knowledge.
As she stepped on stage in the seaside town, she told the adoring crowd, "It 's great to be back in London!", when in fact the capital was 50 miles away.
Meanwhile Beyoncé is desperate to have children.
The 25-year-old singer, who is engaged to rapper Jay Z, has revealed she can't wait to settle down and spend some time raising a family.
She told Glamour magazine: "There are a lot of things I want and I don't have. I want a family, kids. I would love some time off."
The 'Irreplaceable' singer also says she doesn't believe she should feel under pressure to be a good role model to her younger fans.
Beyoncé insists she and other stars shouldn't have to amend their behaviour to appease parents because it is their responsibility to raise their own children.
She added: "I don't feel pressure to be a role model. I think people just say I am, but it's not something I try to be.
"I know I have influence over others, but I know it was my mother's responsibility to raise me, not Tina Turner's or Michael Jackson's. So, I don't feel like it's my job to be an example to everyone else."

What's so unreasonable? Some Cheerios and Pepsi is not to much to ask. Setting a thermostat is pretty easy too. I was expecting something good.

LMAO! I was thinking the same thing - a plate of turkey breast, a box of cereal and a couch... If those arent the most diva-like items Ive ever heard of

I don't see anything wrong with what she said - from the requests to the role model comments. She's right - it IS the parents ultimate responsibility to raise their kids! Looks like someone's just searching for a story to write.
