BF moms please come in
I have a very sore spot at the top of my right breast....it's not really even my breast, it's above it, just over from my armpit. I don't feel a hard spot - maybe a little but, but it is definitely sore. Could this be BF related?

yes - it sounds like a clogged duct...I have gotten a few. What you need to do is go in the shower and let the hot water run directly on the spot. While doing this, massage it HARD. It may be painful but every time i've done this i've eventually seen the milk spray come out and then i've pushed until it stopped.
If this doesn't work it sounds silly, but put the baby on your bed and nurse on all 4's. The pressure from your boob hanging down and all the milk flowing down will most likely break up the clogged duct.

I was on vacation all last week and am now returning to work, so I pump all day while I am here - do you think that will help? Should I massage the spot while pumping??

message will help as well as warm compresses... i am always a fan of the gerber heated nursing pads.... i know it sounds odd but i used to bend over and pump when i had a clog... someonthing a read when doing research and it does help... kind of like gravity helping the milk come out

yea... sounds like a clogged duct. I would massage it while you are pumping and sort of smooth it out with your fingers towards your nipple. Warm compress or hot shower might help too. I hope it goes away soon! When I had one it went a way in about 1 1/2 days.
