BF moms q if your baby has reflux...
DS always was a big spitter-upper. It got better for a while but for the past two weeks it has gotten much worse. He spits up alot and sometimes hours after eating. It is often digested - sorry for the tmi. Also, the past few days he has gotten upset twice while nursing - he will pull away from me and start screaming and keep screaming for a while. He "jumps" so I think he is basically getting jolts of acid - I feel so terrible for him and am planning on calling the dr. if this persists until after Christmas. But, I am sure the dr. will just want to put him on Zantac which I would really really not want to do but will if there is no other way to help him feel better - does anyone have any advice at all? I really don't think it is my diet b/c I watch everything i eat and also it is very strange that it went away mostly and came back when i didn't change anything major in my diet. DS is 16 wks and I thought this was supposed to get better!

Re: BF moms q if your baby has reflux...
DD sometimes cries at the breast, very briefly and never lets go, but does let out a good wale every once in a while. They DO say it's supposed to get better but in the last few days, she has been spitting up more too. Zantac didn't work for us, only Mylanta now 3x a day. I wish I had some advice but we just have to hang in there and keep them as comfortable as possible.

That is what he used to do as well but, hasn't been doing it as much lately. Is the Mylanta working? Does she spit up ALOT? DS spits up constantly - at least 1-2 times after each feeding lately.
This stinks! thankks so much for your response though!
