BF Moms, when did you start solids?
Hayden will be 5 months on Wed. and I haven't given him anything but BM. People have been telling me to start soon because if I wait too long he won't take to it as easily. I was going to wait untill 6 months, but now I'm thinking that I am waiting too long. what are your experiences with solids?

I waited way too long - 8 months with Joseph. I wouldn't suggest waiting very long because you'll be dealing with gagging issues for months. He was so used to having formula that it became a problem.
With Maddie I started at 5.5 months.

I gave Julia cereal with fruits at 4 months. I BF her for 11 months.

5 months. I gave her cereal for 1 month and then I introduced veggies. I stlil haen't introduced fruit but I am this week. Jordana will be 7 months in 10 days.l

Michael was about 5 1/2 months old when we gave him cereal,
my dr suggested giving it to him then bc I was going back to work part time in a month, and wanted to make sure he was used to it by the time I was working.
I think whatever works for you 5months, 6 months, I don't think it will matter either way,

At late 5 months but not because I wanted to. She needed pears and wouldn't take the juice because she was having major pooping issues. She really didn't take to cereal or any solids well until 6+months.
As far as I know it is recommended to wait until 6 months to start solids for allergy reasons among others.

4.5 months we started cereal and she did really well and now she eats everything, I'm glad I started early.

We tried cereal at a little over 4 months but didn't really feed it to him steadily until 5 months.....he was bfed for a year.

I waited until 6 months. It took us a while to get into the swing of solids, but I don't see any problem with that. She eats great now and her weight has always been healthy.
