BF question with #2....
DD was a lazy baby and did not latch well....so I pumped for a whopping 6 weeks (only supplementing with BM) and gave up (felt VERY guilty).
I'm looking for anyone that had BETTER success with BF #2--latching, BF longer, pumping longer, etc.
I would REALLY prefer to BF baby #2 or at least pump longer than 6 weeks.

Sadly, I'm not BF'ing #2 but if I was going too I would def consult an LC for tips and for after the birth and kellymom.com is a great resource too.
You can def do it!

I don't really know, but I have to say that all babies are different, your next one might just latch on right away with no problems! Start thinking he will, and he will!!!

Call an LC prior to his/her birth and have a meeting. Discuss ways to promote a successful BFing relationship and steps that you can take in case of trouble. being prepared with a game plan is really a good idea IMO. Tell yourself that you can do this and try to feel confident in your decision.

Check out La Leche League. They are a great resource for information. You can post questions like yours and a consultant while respond over the course of a day or two. It doesn't cost anything but they accept donations if you choose to make one. Wishing you lots of luck BF #2.

I agree or see if a La Leche member will come to help you at home once you are home. I know my neighbor said she worried about it so much and actually had to just let it go ( she ended up doing some hypno relaxation stuff) but her next baby was a great nurser! No problem whatsoever where her DD had an awful latch. My first advice is try not to dwell on it too much but do try to get some support set up.
