Re: BFing & being in a wedding

i'm in the same situation. i'm due in march and i have a wedding in june.
i don't think it should be that bad, since i'm bringing the baby to the wedding. I'll nurse her before i leave in tehmorning, and have a couple of bottles for DH that i've prepumped. I'm hoping to get through the hair makeup and the ceremony. Then after the ceremony i'll feed her again and i'll be with her during the whole reception.

Oooh, I am not bringing the baby. It is strictly an adult wedding.Chat Icon

I am thinking I might have to camp out with the pump in the bridal suite for a bit.

yes, you will have to pump in order to keep your feeding schedule. You should be fine. Lansinoh makes a really nice pad that you can put in your bra for leakage (Ithink they also make a washable/reusable one)

You will be pumping or sneaking that baby in! If you don't, your boobs will hurt!

You should pump, and have bottles ready, and have DH or someone feed the baby. The pump was a lifesaver for me on many occasions!

I feel your pain, i'm in the same boat! Due 8/28 wedding 11/24! If it's anything like it was with my son, the girls went to a wopping "F" while I was BF'ing, I want to know how i'm going to fit in the dress.. the woman took my measurements now, and said she'll have to add 3 inches! OMG... Guess I'll be pumping my way through the wedding! So afraid i"m going to leak right threw the lovely satin dress!! Chat Icon

Where is the wedding? If its at a hotel I'd have baby with a sitter in a room there.

I went to a wedding when my daughter was 4 months old and had her brought to the parking lot so I could nurse her in the middle of the reception. That worked out nice and easy.

Its at the Sandcastle. I think I may have my mom sstay with the baby at my grandmothers (right near Sandcastle) and then bring the baby for a feeding or 2.

Thanks for the great ideas all!Chat Icon
