BF'ing and gas issues
Does anyone know if certain foods I eat will cause Connor to have bad gas? Caiden always had it, and now Connor has it, but mostly at night? Any ideas? Thanks!

I was told to stay away from all dairy plus green leafy veggies, garlic, onions, fruits high in vitamin C and anything else that makes you gassy.

No. Apparently, this is a myth. The baby gets a small amount of anything that enters your blood stream, not everything in your digestive system. That is why things like caffeine, alchohol and meds are an issue. I just read about this myth recently. Once the baby is born it is no longer eating what you eat the way it did in the womb. So just b/c a food makes you gassy doesn't mean it will make the baby gassy.

Re: BF'ing and gas issues
We had this twice so far with Samantha but can't seem to pinpoint why it happened or what I ate....we gave her a drop of infant mylicon after her next feeding and it was like liquid gold (my dh's words!) and she was happy and back to normal in no time...meanwhile, I felt horrible for causing her such pain...
Ironically, both times it was the night of the day she went to the doctor so dh thinks maybe that had something to do with it (I think thats a little far fetched!)
