BFing mom's
Does your DC use your boob as a pacifier??? I think my DS might be
DH gave DS a bottle (2 oz.) and he only took half of it but started to cry/fuss so I BF him and he relaxed and fell asleep.
What am I going to do when I go back to work if my boob is the only thing to calm DC down????

I think when they are very little it is ok to be the pacifier to calm them down. I tryed to break DD of that habit as she got older around 6 months or so. And dont worry about going back to work, they adapt.

Whoever is taking care of her will find another method of soothing her, don't worry!
And yes, I am still a human pacifier when I'm home. If I'm not home she'll accept all sorts of substitutes.

she did for a little while - like a week or two, but not anymore. I was afraid of being her pacifier, but now she loves her fingers

Re: BFing mom's
Not really.
When I was home I wouldn't let her. I timed her feedings and would be careful that she didn't "eat" too often.
Now that I am back to work- occassionally. Sometimes a baby just needs her mommy. But after 15 minutes or so and I know she isn't hungry anymore, I pull out and give her a pacifier.
