BFing question...

Considering the certain restrictions of food while preggo...ie. the certain cheeses, cold cuts, sushi, etc. Do these restriction continue during BFing???

They didn't for me! Chat Icon Aside from sushi and feta cheese (I don't like it that much) I pretty much ate regular while I was pregnant. After I had the baby I didn't restrict myself at all and DS never had any reactions. I know that some people find their babies react differently to spicy foods or to garlic, but DS was fine.

I never went out of my way to avoid certain foods while pregnant or nursing. It's all about eating things in moderation.

No restrictions for me. Some babies get gassy after foods like broccoli but my son never had any problems.

No restrictions....as someone else posted, i just avoided highly acidic foods(ie, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, beans)

The restrictions that continue are alcohol, reduced caffeine and the mercury fish. You also can't take some medications still. All the stuff that could give you listeria when pregnant (cold cuts, soft cheeses) aren't a risk to the baby when bfing.
