BFN. Ugh.
Today is 10DPO and I got a BFN. I don't feel any symptoms. I am super depressed and and really on edge. The thought of going on to month 9 is just too much to handle right now. I am literally screaming at DH, telling him he just doesn't understand how hard this is
Maybe it's time to get more answers. I had gone to my OB in October, he blew off my concerns. The NP said that since I was nursing for some of the months I was trying that I couldn't count then- complete BS.
How do I go about making an appt with an RE? Do I need a referral? For DH to do an SA do we go to a urologist?

you still have a chance..youre not out yet but if you are concerned, its not a bad idea to get some tests done. You can call & get a script from your OB for SA. He can make an appt with Quest & drop it off. Its probably a good start before getting pocked and proded by a specialist.

Re: BFN. Ugh.
i think it depends on your insurance if you need a referral for a RE, but I think most don't require one. The RE will order a SA so you don't need a urologist. They give you the script and have you drop it off at a lab.

Re: BFN. Ugh.
I am sorry I was hoping we would be pregant together but hopefully soon for you...check your insurance plan - that will determine if you need a refferal to a specialist. If you do then call your doctor and request one - you don't have to visit your doc to usually get one
good luck and i am so sorry that this has not happended for you yet i know how much you want a second-

Re: BFN. Ugh.
I'm sorry If speaking with an RE and have some tests done to get answers would make you feel better than absolutely do it. I know we always say it, but don't beat yourself up. It is a very hard process and it does beat us down sometimes. But we have to focus on what we have. Your time will come- it will come for all of us

Re: BFN. Ugh.
youre only 10DPO. its too early to be counting yourself out.
as far as seeing an RE depends on your insurance if you need a referral or not. mine didn't. you dont need to see a urologist for an SA. an RE or an ob/gyn can give you the script for it.

You are right, it is too early to count myself out. Especially since I didn't get a BFP with DS till 11DPO. It's just that I was having symptoms up until yesterday. Now I don't feel anything and then the BFN this morning, it REALLY took the wind out of my sails. Thanks for all the encouragement ladies
DH called an RE this morning an we have an appointment in 2 weeks (I have a PPO and don't need a referral). I feel much better knowing that we are being more proactive now.
Hopefully, I am not out this month and I can just go cancel that appt!!

Re: BFN. Ugh.
Me too. I am close to tears and so disappointed. I'm even thinking of taking a break from the boards. I don't know, it's just so frustrating. Cycle after cycle of disappointments.
On the bright side, they DO say it can take up to a year, and we both already have LOs, so hopefully we've just been in a slump? Did that cheer you up? It didn't work for me
Hang in there, and head up! Maybe tomorrow we'll have something to celebrate about and this will all have been for nothing.
