I walked in to buy a hair clip. The prices (if I remember) start at $60 for JUST a hairdo.
Then, as they do your kids hair they ask "do you want the wand, and the clip and the X". You will walk aout spending $140 before you realize what happened.
And dont forget to add in $$ if your daughter wants the outfit/costume.

I have boys (I don't know if I should jump for joy or cry over missing this!) but my friend at work told me she brought her daughters' princess costumes WITH her .......SAME costume she got @ the Disnery store for X amount was at the Boutique for 5X the price ........
Just an idea

the dresses are $65... of course dd HAD to have one but i was able to talk her out of BBB so i guess its ok since if she did BBB it would have cost more then $65.

I'm toying with this idea.. but .. if she does it one day she'll want it EVERY.... SINGLE.... DAY we are there.. and yeah.. I dont THINK so my dear fine friend.
At 5, I'm sure will think its devine but I believe I'll pass and just let her bring some outfits if she really wants to wear a costume.
So tempting tho...
ETA: I am however thinking of doing Tea at the Grand Floridan... any one here done that? Cost?

U can bring a dress anf then have them just to their hair, we did it all for Dd and offhand prob around $150 or so when we went. Also when we were there a grown lady did get her hair done so you may be able to if u eant, we went last year so not sure if that changed or not since then

The cut off is age 12, and it's strictly enforced.

This. And my advice would be to bring your own dresses. We bought ours in advance for 29.99 when Disney store was having a sale.
Also adults are not allowed to get made over.

Definitely get the costumes before hand. And do some research, I could have sworn there are a couple of places inside WDW that will just do the sparkles in their hair for free, or cheap. You can surprise them that morning with their costumes, put their hair in a cute top bun, and then have the glitter done there.

We always do the Castle package. While it costs $$, we also get the costumes there, just so its one less thing to worry about. If you dont mind getting the costume ahead of time, I would do that to save money. But the actual experience is worth every penny. My daughter has such a great time and my youngest is finally old enough this November to get hers done as well!

Yes, the castle and the store behind it will sprinkle your daughter with pixie dust for free.
Last trip, I dressed my daughter in a really cute cotton pink Cinderella dress that I found online (check Etsy). Put her hair in a bun, put a little makeup on her, and she got sprinkled with pixie dust. Ours was similar to this, minus the blue birds. So comfy to wear all day, not itchy or hot.
