Bicornuate Uterus
Hi! I was leafing through some old medical papers a few weeks ago & found something that I had completely forgotten about - I have a bicornuate uterus (in addition to its being retroverted).
After doing some research, it's my understanding that a BU might cause some serious problems with carrying a baby to full term. In addition to making an appt. w/a specialist, I've been googling it like crazy & trying to do some research, but I was wondering if anyone on the boards has experience with this first hand?? TIA!
ETA: A bicornuate uterus is aka a "heart shaped" uterus.

I have a BU too & I carried my DD to 41w with no problems. My doctor said that it causes problems for some women, but in most it turns out to be nothing. She said that she's had many patients who didn't know that had it until their 2+ pregnancy.
