Big, blank wall in the kitchen... how to decorate it?
Need ideas!
There will eventually be a little dinette table under where the wall is but the whole wall will be a blank canvas.
I was thinking a large vinyl lettering quote like "Season Everything with Love" but DH doesn't love that idea.

Re: Big, blank wall in the kitchen... how to decorate it?
Decorative plates or china? Hung in a grid or pattern on the wall. I like a mismatched look with old vintage plates (just use a color or a pattern -- like all floral -- to tie it together). Kind of a shabby chic look.
I have framed artwork on the walls of my kitchen... a wine/café theme. I have a big print of a Venice scene hanging over a low sideboard piece on what would have been a big blank wall in my eat-in area. I got the artwork from art.com years ago, when DH and I were still in an apartment, but it fits the kitchen in my house well.

I would do a collage of pictures, all different sizes and some pictures shelves too. Maybe some pictures of food and some pictures of your kids with dirty faces from when the were little.

I would do a chalkboard. Great way to always change things up and keep it fresh.

We have a blank wall in our kitchen next to our fridge. It's not huge but it's big enough to need something there. After the holidays I think we're going to attempt to make a receipe board like the one's on pinterest.

I love those wall sayings, there are lots of kitchen/eating related ones which may fill the space nicely.

We have a large chalk board wall too. I love it. I change it every couple weeks. Its usually family quotes, or food, or now its says merry christmas with a christmas tree.

I did a collage of cool prints/pictures all with barn door type frames. I love it.
