Big Boys Bed....Please tell me it will be okay....

We start the boys in their big boy beds this week. They are 27 months and we think its about time. Can anyone share there experiences with me....I know they are not going to stay in the beds....they usually like to play with each other. Should I go in there again and again to enforce the to bed rule?

If they fall asleep say not in the bed do I wait to they fall asleep then put them in the bed?

Any advice or guidance would be soooo appreciated!

DS is 28 months and he went into his big boy bed starting last week. He loves it. The only thing is that he will not lay down on it to fall asleep. He has to fall asleep some place else and then I move him. Once I move him, he stays the whole night.

My son went into his big boy bed at about 27 months, I don't think he even noticed he was anywhere different. He slept right through from the first night, no problem. He will sleep anywhere now.

Give them some credit, they might do great!!

I say don't make a big fuss, stick to your normail routine.

My kids love to jump in their cribs for many minutes after I put them to bed, so I am assuming that is what will happen with the beds. My plan is to put the mattresse and box spring on the floor first for a few weeks and then bring in the beds. I also can see them falling asleep on the floor and me having to move them to the mattress.......but hopefully they won't even notice! You have given me some hope.
