sounds awesome right! Chat Icon

anywho, is there anyone on here that fits the above description, and that has found a pair of "skinny" jeans that were flattering.

TIA

Um, no, any clothing for the lower body labeled "skinny" is just not gonna work on me.

I have bought a pair of Gap straight leg jeans though, so I feel a little more stylish these days, they're not skinny, but they're not bootleg either. I wear them with heels only, to elongate.

I don't think skinny jeans are meant for curvy types.

They are good for really straight-built types, that want to draw attention to their hips, to look a little curvier.

ditto. They all accentuate the butt a little TOO much.

I agree with the above posters...even slight hips and thick thighs=no no no skinny jeans...

ETA: I call those skinny minny pants.

I fit the above description... Chat Icon

And I bought a pair of skinny jeans at Old Navy. I didn't want to make a big investment if they were only going to be a "fad".

I wear them with camel colored high boots and that helps. (ETA: I think the lighter color on the "skinnier" part of my leg helps draw the eye away from my thigh)

I don't think I could pull them off with high heels though... Chat Icon

Someone on the boards suggested getting them in black - which sounds slimming. I might try that.

Yeah, I haven't even attempted to try them on and I'm patiently waiting for them to be declared 'out' and out of all of the shops.

Ditto!

The word "SKINNY" tipped me off and I dont fit the requirements of that jean.

ETA: No butt, just wide, hips and thighs...enough said!
No need to see that in a "skinny" jean...esp 7 1/2months pg Chat Icon

Re: Big butted hippy and thick thighed

I would never dare wear those skiny pants - my stepdaughter has hips and butt, and she likes them - she is not heavy at all, but they are just not that flattering - I am definitely a curvy size 4-6, and although not "big" I definitely have curves that need to be contained with some flattering jeans....

And after I have this baby, god knows what the hell will look good on me....

Re: Big butted hippy and thick thighed

I actually found two great pairs of jeans at Club Monaco that fall into the "almost skinny" category. They're not completely skinny jeans, but they're much skinnier than boot cut jeans. I think they call them the skinny boot or something like that. Anyway, they fit really well, they don't emphasize the larger areas and tuck into boots nicely also!
p.s They were on sale so that helped. :)
