BIG product rave!!! curly and fine-haired girls come in

i got my hair cut on Friday and told the girl that i was having trouble finding a good product for my hair. gels and mousses are too heavy for my hair, i can sometimes use a light gel but then i don't get the best curls.

she gave me 2 samples of Chi Silk Infusion (it's a hair oil) and i've used it for three days so far. OMG what a difference!

i use a tiny amount on very wet hair, just wrung out (i would say less than a dime-sized amount, but my hair is only just past my chin) and finger-comb it through. i then let it air dry. i could probably use a diffuser but i don't have time.

when i use new products, it always seems like i love it the first day and then it doesn't work for me after that. but this stuff is crazy good. it leaves my hair super soft, with great curl and bounce, and virtually no frizz (i always have a tiny but but i think that's because my hair is growing out after having DS).

so happy with this product! i've used serums and gels and creams and all kinds of nonsense and i looove the way my hair looks now Chat Icon

ETA: name of product
you can use the oil on your skin as well - i used it on my legs yesterday morning and my skin is still super soft today, even after a showed. oh and it smells great too Chat Icon

Is Chi oil made by the Chi straightener folks? Where can I find it? Also, does it have a strong fragrance or anything?

yes, it's made by the same company. i am pretty sure they sell it at Ulta, i'm going to check.

it's got a nice scent, but not strong by any means (and i am preggo so i'm sensitive to that Chat Icon).

And your hair is fine?
I find that since my hair is so super fine that oils usually weigh it down way too much... this one didn't?

it's really fine. and it's curly. it is SO hard to style correctly! anything that makes it curly also weighs it down. but this oil is super light. plus i only use a tiny bit. it's not weight my hair down at all.
ETA: i do make sure to start aplying it underneath my hair - i flip my head over and start there, then work my way to the front, so the least amount of product is on top. but it's still almost frizz-free Chat Icon

Re: BIG product rave!!! curly and fine-haired girls come in

thanks for posting I will try it out since I have the same hair type as you.

one question, is this to be used in addition to other curly products or just alone?

Thank you!!!!!! I will def try this. My hair is very fine and curly, but since my son it's just a mess and frizzy. I feel like I am forever on a search for product.

I have think wavy hair that's more frizzy since having DD. Do think it would work on thick hair too?

I love this for blowing my hair straight. I often switch between this, moroccan oil and biosilk.
