Big RAVE for At-Home Microdermabrasion System (Neutrogena - $22)
I'm always on the hunt for the next best thing in skincare that is cost-friendly and works.
I picked up this system at CVS after hearing great reviews on Amazon and it was $22 and I figured if I hated it, I would return it. It came with the 2 AA batteries it required and 12 little pads, so I said, what the heck?
Side note: I use the Clarisonsic and LOVE it but, like most products, I feel my skin is used to it by now - even though it still does a great job and I reccomend it to everyone.
Anyway, I just got done trying the Neutrogena system - and WOW. Big difference already! My skin feels very soft and looks so polished and clean.
Very easy to use and I think it can rival the Clarisonic. The pads are very grainy and almost like soft sandpaper, if that makes sense. It really buffs your skin but with no pain - and I have sensitive skin.
Here's what they state about the little puff pads:
Each pre-dosed, one-time-use Microdermabrasion Puff has ultra-fine crystals and mild purifiers that provide the perfect amount of exfoliation. It also contains glycerin to help condition the skin as it exfoliates.
Just wanted to share! It's so rare I find something I love, so when I do...I like to spread the info!
here is link to amazon reviews

Can I ask you a dumb question? Would this be in place of a mask? Every so often I do a scrubbing mask thing from Bliss...this looks interesting and more affordable...do you use cleanser with it? I have the SAME skin regimen for YEARS and if this will make my skin pretty, I would try it! Thanks for bearing with dumb questions! LOL

They say to use it every 3 days or so from what I read. I would assume that if you use a scrubbing mask, you wouldn't need it anymore if you used this as part of your routine.
Nope, no cleanser with it! the little pad they give you - you simply add some water to it and it kind of puffs up and then you turn on the device and just buff your face for a couple of minutes. There is some sort of cleanser in there already and your face becomes a little sudsy. I buffed it in circular motions.
It def. is worth a try! My skin looks very glowy right now and I keep reading that mircoderm is good for your skin because it increases the cell turnover rate, so you're getting rid of old cells and uncovering new ones. It also helps with fine lines and wrinkles, which I'm starting to get concerned about myself
if you get it at CVS you can use it and return it if you don't like it. I think the same applies with Ulta, too! and in Sunday's paper the usuallly have a $3 coupon if you go to Ulta. I'm sure they have it, too.
