bill pay
Hi ladies,
I am so mad! I have a $720.35 bill to pay LIIVF because united healthcare isnt paying for freezing the eggs that i had. They only freeze embryos which is so stupid!
Now moving forward, if this embryo that we transferred doesn't work, (hopefully it does!) we will have to do another ivf cycle and my DH and I will have to decide whether we want to pay another $720.25 to freeze eggs or if we will just make them all embryos.
The reason why we didn't make them all embryos in the first place is because my DH and I are both Catholic and didn't want to have too many embryos leftover. And then have to deal with the moral dilemma of discarding leftover embryos.
Sorry for the vent, I'm trying to be calm during the 2ww and a $720.35 bill is not keeping me calm!

Hugs! Try not to stress! Totally get the Catholic thing. I would rather freeze eggs than embryos too. Tell them you can't afford it, see what they can do. If nothing, send them $20 a month. They will eventually get their money!!!

Re: bill pay
i owed RMA almost $600 after the last cycle. that was with already paying them the estimated $600 difference that my insurance wasnt going to cover as part of th 15k max I had. I was pissed b/c It was just another reminder of what a failure it all was. and now I owed even more than I had thought.
I got screwed b/c I started treatment 12/31 and carried into 2016 so I was subject to the deductibles, (that reset to 0 in January).
I sent money over the course of a few months. I never called and asked. I just sent what i could until it was paid. they never called and asked either for $$. Just send what you can. see if you can get that negotiated down a little too.
good luck!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry that happened to you as well. Infertility i stressful enough, you don't need money expenses on top of it!!

Re: bill pay
I'd be thankful your insurance covers anything. We paid nearly $30k for IVF (and other procedures) out of pocket. No embies to freeze and a BFN. That was heartbreaking.

sorry to hear this. That is awful. I'm so sorry it didn't work out and you had to pay that much money out of pocket. I'm just saying its stressful in general.
