Birth Control
Hi all,
DH and I are going to start TTC in a few months or so. I am currently on Othro Tricyclen Low and wasn't sure about coming off etc. Any info you can provide about waiting/not having to wait anything at all would be greatly appreciated!!

My doctor told us to finish my last pack of pills and get my period. THEN I should wait for my next NATURAL period and on day 10 starting "having relations" every other day. Hope this helps.

I would go off sooner rather than later. You can always use protection if need be. It may take a while for your cycle to return. I went off bc in April, and I am still waiting for AF! Good luck to you...

you definitely should come off soon. there is no way to predict how your body is going to react. it took a good 4-5 months before my cycles even faintly followed a pattern.

I just came off of the same BCP in April. Everyone's reaction is different. I have had 2 AFs since coming off. However, my hormones have been all out of wack. I had a major break-out, I have been cramping at all times throughout the cycle and my body has felt very swollen. (I am charting and know that I am not PG.)
Basically, you may get AF right away or it may take awhile for it to show up. But either way, your body is going to be out of wack for awhile and you'll need some time to adjst before you ttc.

I have PCOS, and my MD said that my best chances of conceiving was immediately after I went off the Pill. With the assistance of meds, I conceived a few months after coming off the pill.
