birth control over 45
If you're over 45, what do you use for birth control? I haven't been on the pill in over 10 years and right now we mainly use condoms (DH doesn't want a vasectomy).
About 4 years ago I had ovarian cysts so they put me on birth control to see if the cysts would shrink. I got checked in 3 months and they were gone, but my blood pressure was in the high zone (after a lifetime of my blood pressure being on the low side). So... I immediately got off BC.
Any suggestions? I haven't hit menopause or early menopause yet.

Abstinence.
I would not be on any hormonal BC after 40 (I'm 42) to be honest- way too many risks of heart attack, stroke, blood clots at that age
Either use Condoms or VCF film or the prefilled applicators of spermicide combined with pull and pray and avoiding sex during ovulation time- I know exactly when I ovulate though.

I am still on the pill. I don't want to have to worry about birth control and my gyno says its likely keeping peri-menopause symptoms under control.

I was on the pill until I hit 50. Hated to come off of them.
