Birthday party for siblings ettiquette?
DD (2.5) has been invited to a birthday party for her classmate. The birthday child has a sibling 2 years older that has a birthday a few days later so they are having 1 party for both kids. We've never met the older child.
Of course we'll bring a gift for DD's classmate. Should we bring one for the older sibling too?

Oohh that's tough
They are both on the invite? I think I would bring a little something for the older child as well..

I agree that is tough. I would just get a card for the other child or something small like a hair bow or a book.

My brother had a joint bday party for both his girls (who's birthdays are 2 weeks apart). They invited mostly their friends from school. Most of them just got their "friend" something; a few got the other sibling a token gift.

Re: Birthday party for siblings ettiquette?
i guess it depends on how generous you are.... since its a classmate and im assuming you dont know the sibling- i personally would only get the classmate a gift......
if my kid has playdates with the other kid where i have met the sibling- and birthday kids parent has talked to me about the other kid so i kinda know them too- then id get something smaller for them.
