at what age do you stop having kids birthday parties at a place with their friends? 10? 12? 16? lol

Probably after 5th grade we'll stop the organized parties and just have a few kids over and do cake and video games or something.

I think after about 12.

I don't think so.

At 10 I'd take a few friends out to play laser tag & maybe invite them over for cake with the family.

Sorry - to answer your original question - I'll probably always invite a few friends over for my kid's birthday party. Even if it's when they're older & it's just a girlfriend/boyfriend coming over.

I had actual birthday parties every year up to 13.

After that it was just cake at my house with family, but since my family is so small and I'm an only child I generally had a couple of friends over too.
