Birthday party sibling
My older son is invited to a birthday party for a girl in his class. My little son who is 20 months old was supposed to stay home with my husband but now my husband has to go into work. I have no one to watch him so I am going to have to take him with me. Should I call the parent? I called the place and they charge only if the child is enjoying the bounces. I do not want to make this woman pay for my little son so how can I go about paying for him?
The party is today.

Re: Birthday party sibling
I would call and just let her know your situation. If she's nice, she should day not to worry about it - that's what I would do.

I would call the parent and just tell her that you insist on paying for your little guy.

Re: Birthday party sibling
I would call the mom and tell her the situation and offer to pay. If she says don't worry about it, fabulous, if not, pay for him
I wouldn't wait til you got there to tell her unless you are really good friends with her

I would take him but go up to the counter and explain the situation and pay for your little one then let the mom know.

Re: Birthday party sibling
Thanks for responding!
I called her and explained my situation and she said no problem and I told her I will pay for my son if I have to.

Re: Birthday party sibling
She also might not have to pay for your DS at all. Many of the packages are for a group "up to X" number of kids. If she hasn't hit that number, there's no additional cost.
