Are you looking for a kid's party or for adults, too?

We're having my 3 year olds "kiddie" party @ White Post Farms next month and we rented a VFW for my little guy's 1st birthday party in August.

Re: Birthday places

I had my son's 4th birthday party at Party Palooza in Merrick. It was awesome!! I added a puppet show (adorable- all great characters) and Stuff-a-Pet. It was like Build a bear but the animals and dolls were even cuter and the outfits were amazing!!!
It's a private party and the women there are great. If you're interested, I can give you the #.

Here's the website:
http://www.partypaloozaofli.com/

Hope this was helpful!

Wow, I feel kind of weird, I never had my daughter's birthdays and any place. I thought she was too young, she's 3. My little one is going to be 1, and we were just going to have a small BBq in the backyard. Is everyone but me throwing big b-day parties?

I'm not positive, but I think I checked this place out. It seemed very dirty to me (I am a clean freak when it comes to kids' party places). It was very messy and the video games were way too advanced for my young guests. I try to pick a place that has something for everyone- that's why I loved Party Palooza. The kids dance, there's organized play, a great craft (stuff-a-pet), bubble machine, pizza, cake, ... It was very organized and very clean!

My DD first b-day party was a big BBQ at my moms house in PA

This year I have to do it out someplace sinceI live in an apartment and I don't have a backyard otherwise I would have a BBQ and just do it in the yard

Re: Birthday places

My opinion...Chuck E Cheese is very chaotic for a party. The parties are not private so you are lumped together with other parties and regular customers. The food is horrible. The animated character show is scary! It is so loud and not organized. Friends had their son's party there and cried that it was so horrible. Way too crazy, especially for a 2 year old's party!

I couldn't agree more. We were just there (w/ 5 three year olds) and it got soooo crazy by 12:30 w/ parties we couldn't get our "little" ones out of there fast enough! We have a party there next weekend for a 5 year old. While I personally wouldn't have a party there, I think 5 (or older) is the appropriate age.
