Birthday Question

Noah's birthday is on a Wednesday this year. Who has a birthday on a Wednesday??? Anyway, I have 2 weeks off before his birthday, but I go back to work on the day before his birthday (this is after the Christmas break) Anyway, my question is this. We are going to be doing lots of stuff over the Christmas break as his NY Grandparents are coming over, and we are going to have a party the weekend before...so do I have to take him out of daycare on his actual birthday? I mean, he won't care will he??

What would you do???

I would do exactly as you planned to celebrate his birthday. Could you send something special to daycare that day, so that they can sing happy birthday to him? like cupcakes or a cake? then when you all get home, you can cut another cake? Chat Icon

Re: Birthday Question

Since you are coming off a holiday and will be having lots of fun celebrations for his birthday...I would say no. Maybe get him a cute birthday boy shirt for daycare and let them dot on him for his special day...then have a nice family dinner to celebrate.

BTW: I was looking at pics from the 2006 parent gtg for the album and couldn't get over how small he was...in your arms with a bottle Chat Icon

Re: Birthday Question

I think the pre-birthday stuff should be sufficient. And then send him to daycare on his b-day and then just have his favorite dinner and cake that night.

Oh yeah, his current favorite dinner is Rice Cakes.

I could make him pasta. I will send him to nursery with some cake.

Re: Birthday Question

You are so funny. I don't think he'll care! He'll probably have a great time at daycare that day, make a big deal b/c it's his birthday, right? I'm guessing, I have no idea. But if they do, that'll probably be a lot of fun for him!
