Bittersweet news....
Well, our deal fell through. We are not moving to NC - yet. We still may but not right now. It was just too much, too quick. Plus some things with the buyers didn't feel right. We decided to take our time and think about what is really right for us. We may even look in NJ. There are some things about our house that we are not crazy about (only 1 bathroom, kitchen is big but not eat in - no room for a table, it's awkward, I would like a laundry room on the first floor). So that's it for now. My DH and I are sorta sad that it didn't work out better but relieved because now we don't have to make a split second decision that will affect the rest of our lives. We would have had to go into contract this week and we still weren't sure what we were doing!

 I am sure everything will work out for the best. If you want to change jobs then do that, if you want a new home, then look for one of them. Everything happens for a reason, it just might not be clear today.

I agree that things happen for a reason. Have you started to look at other areas in NJ? Maybe go down to NC a few more times before you make a hard decision.
