Bizarre turn of events at the doctor today
So I go for my 38 week appt. pretty much with calendar in hand after the last appt to discuss an induction date. When I ask her about doing it Dr. Singer says they don't do it unless medically necessary That is totally not what she said last week!!!! When I told her to get things started last week so this baby can move along she said "that's what I like to hear, do you want to be induced." I'm okay with nature taking its course but am very uneasy as to why she led me to believe something that wasn't true. DH said it was because he was there this time and was against it. ***?

Did you ask her why she told you that last week?
Maybe she needs a medical reason to do it now but she didn't a few years ago. I was paying my co-pay & she asked a woman if she wanted to be induced.

Maybe you are so close to your due date, she would prefer that you went into labor on your own? Do you have a specific reason for wanting to be induced? Are you concerned that it won't happen naturally?

Maybe she's been getting a lot of heat about inducing patients w/out medical reasons lately or she recently had a bad outcome and has changed her views.

im not a fan of dr singer to begin with. i feel that she is very rush rush every time i saw her and when she left wgm i didnt miss her. sorry to hear your getting conflicting info. when are you suppose to go back? can you call and ask to speak to her to get clarification?

She induced me at 39 weeks, but that was due to high blood pressure

She was ALL about inducing me (I didn't allow her to)...I had the perfect pregnancy & had no real medical reason to be induced (other than being a little overdue-hehe)...Hmmmmm...
