Black Friday Question
What is your plan? Will you be shopping this year or will you stay home and enjoy the leftovers?
Also cyber-Monday are the deals better than the stores.?

Re: Black Friday Question
Black Friday I will be sleeping as late as possible and maybe never getting out of my pajamas.
I will probably finish all of my Christmas shopping online that day if I feel like it.
Most stores have great deals online all weekend.

Re: Black Friday Question
I think I'll be hitting up the stores bright and early. I'm usually done by 11 and finish 99% of my holiday shopping. IMO, the deals are worth the loss of sleep

Re: Black Friday Question
Hahaha--my plan is nuts!
12am -- KB toy store opens -- will hit that up for the kiddies.
Probably head to a 24 hour dunkin' donuts -- to recharge.
4am - Kohl's
5am - Circuit City
6am - Target
7am - Best Buy
8am - JCPenny's
9am - Macy's
Believe it or not I can make it thru each store within an hour for the 4-6am times cause I'm going right when they open and I know exactly what I'm grabbing and can grab it, and be at the check out in no time.

haha
my sister and did this plan last year --- except we didn't do JCPenny's & Macy's. we were done and having breakfast in the diner by 9am....we were delirious from NOT going to bed but we had bought everything we needed! We went back out a little later on to get a few other things with DH, but that ended crappy. :-P
Also, another good thing is checking on actual Thanksgiving DAY online--for "door buster" items that are on sale on black friday. Both Circuit CIty & Best Buy were selling all their "door buster" items that you would need a ticket at like 2 am to buy and stand in line all nite long.....online on actual thanksgiving. I purchased DH's GPS & Sirius satellite radio package as well as several DVDs and didn't have to wait for 6 hours in a line!!

Re: Black Friday Question
Black Friday I'm getting up at the crack of dawn to ride my horses before we pack up the car and drive to PA to visit my ILs.
You will never catch me shopping on black Friday... I don't like shopping anyway and I don't think there's a deal out there that would make me want to shop in those crowds!
I give credit to the people who can handle it! Happy shopping!

Re: Black Friday Question
I'm doing Tanger at 12am and then hitting the stores starting at 4am. Last year we were done by 8am, slept a little and then put up our Xmas decorations.

Re: Black Friday Question
My sister and I always go out. Not sure how much energy I'll have, but we'll probably head out at around 5-6AM. We'll def. head to Kohls, Macys, Target/Walmart, etc.

I want to hit up Best Buy at some point in the day, but that's the only "plan" I have.

Re: Black Friday Question
We might go to Xmas Tree Shops at midnight...not sure yet though! Then probably Target and maybe Walmart and the mall. I don't have a lot left to buy at all so it's up to my shopping buddies!

Re: Black Friday Question
There's a small mall by my house that is pretty empty (except for Macy's, Sears, and NY&Co). I'll probably go there to get some things from Macy's (I went last year and I got the second spot from the door - and I went at 10:30am).

Re: Black Friday Question
I did my first Black Friday last year (every other year I worked) and learned a lot..
This year I am hitting Target and the mall. Not sure about any other stores yet. I'm pretty much done with my shopping but now I am addicted to Black Friday outings.

Re: Black Friday Question
I've never gone but am always tempted. I always think of it in terms of my hourly rate doesn't make the deals worth it.
We may hit the Bronx Zoo if it's nice.

Re: Black Friday Question
You could not pay me enough to go out of my house that day. I worked in retail for over 15 years and cursed that day EVERY year. I promised myself I would never do it. And I haven't. I will think of you all, while I am laying in my kozy bed with my DH, watching Matt Lauer. Have fun.
