Black Jeans?
Do you wear them? Are they out of style? I found a great pair of jeans that finally fit me at the Gap- i posted them on the jeans thread- and I want to get them in other colors. They have a light wash that i love but it's destructed- and i am not a fan of ripped jeans- and these aren't even ripped nicely or cool looking- they just look dumb
I got them in a midwash- but it's kind of leaning towards dark wash imo
They have black too. Would you get black?
I haven't had black jeans in awhile
Thoughts?

Black Jeans?
I really don't have an opinion. When I was reading this I thought to myself I haven't worn black jeans in a while but I really love them. I think they would look really hot with boots and a cute blouse. Go for it

If you like them and they fit you, I'd say go for it! I actually think black jeans would look cute and now I want to go and search a pair for me

Black Jeans?
I have one pair of black jeans and I love them. I wear them out at night with friends, for running errands and even to work with a nice shirt (it's a casual office).

Re: Black Jeans?
I love black jeans but my question is where do you find them where they don’t smell like fire?
So many jeans, especially the darker wash and definitely the black jeans smell of fire/melted plastic. So much so that i smell pants before trying them on! People must think I’m nuts but it’s terrible. I have bought them in the hopes the smell will wash out and it doesn’t. Just makes whatever I wash with them stink as well.

Not a fan...no matter the cut, they always seem very 80's to me.

Re: Black Jeans?
I love my black jeans. I can make them work for casual or slightly dressy. If they fade, I use rit dye to darken them.

Re: Black Jeans?
I just bought a few pairs. I found ones that are very comfy with some stretch. I like them! And I'm not usually a jeans person.

Re: Black Jeans?
Thanks all. I had a few pairs of black jeggings that were really more like skinny jeans from Target a few years ago. I just haven't worn them in awhile because they were kind of uncomfortable and too low rise. I wasn't sure if they were in style anymore

Black Jeans?
I think black skinny jeans are very much in style. I was in Europe twice this summer and saw so many girls in black skinny jeans (not that you necessarily care about what people in Europe are wearing, but still lol). I have a pair of black skinny jeans and have been waiting for cooler weather so I can wear them! (with ankle booties like a PP said, or moto boots).

Is it the dye or the fabric? Sometimes the stretchy jeans have rayon and I don't like the smell of rayon.

Re: Black Jeans?
I have 2 pair. I don't wear them a lot since they fade. And definitely don't throw them in the dryer. I don't think they will ever go out of style.

OMG...I hate this! The smell reminds me sulfur and it does not come out!
I swear I wanted to write into one of the news channels to do a story on this. Find out why it's there and if the chemicals they use are damaging. Something doesn't seem right about this since the smell never comes out.

I don't get it - it's such a strong smell and NEVER EVER comes out! I hate it!

Re: Black Jeans?
Love black skinny jeans. Wear them all the time in fall/winter.
And mine don't smell. I have a couple of pairs of Joe's and no smell at all. I wash them inside out on cold to preserve color.
ETA: I also have black True Religion jeans that don't smell. Maybe it's just certain brands that smell?

Yes true. I try to wash them as little as possible, as gross as that sounds. But I really only wear jeans for a few hours at a time. As soon as I get home I am in leggings or sweats, I don't wear jeans to work- so it's really just to go out on weekends for a few hours at a shot. I make sure I'm showered, , wear them, take them off and try to get as many wears out of them before having to wash them.
I know they make woolite for dark laundry- or at least they used to- I wonder if that would help

Re: Black Jeans?
I love mine. They're distressed though. Super dark rinse and I get them dry cleaned because I'm afraid of them fading!

Re: Black Jeans?
Just made me think of that commerical for woolite or some fabric softener with fabric guard or whatever where the woman has a new sweater or jeans and is like "I love you. That's why I will NEVER wash you!"
