Black leather couch

So DH wants a leather set for the living room....I am fine with that but my house is sooo not browns and tans..

Found some cool black leather sectionals online..but not sure if they will be to harsh in a room..Was thinking of painting room a nice light green color and adding green throw pillows, curtains, rugs into the space to warm up. Do you think that will work together? The living dining area is an L shaped space so I need to blend with dining room wich is a light wood table with vlack cushioned chairs and black china. Thoughts? Idea???? TIA

I think it will depend on the lighting in the room, and what your floors look like. do you have hardwoods or w/w carpet?
