Yes. I freaked out about this recently because DH gave me the invite the night before saying it was black tie.
Plenty of women were there in short cocktail dresses.
You even saw the token Snookies.

Yes def. DH and I were invited to a black tie wedding not too long ago and I stressed out so much over it. I wound up wearing a short cocktail dress and was hoping I would be okay in it... When we got there, I was shocked at how many women literally wore sun dresses or just dresses that weren't fancy at all! Wish I knew that before I stressed out! lol
