Blackberry Users Come in- Pet Peeve
Maybe I am missing something but although I love my Blackberry, there is one thing about it that irritates the cr@p out of me!
Let's say you get a text, or miss a call, or whatever, while you are away from your phone. Unless you specificly go and LOOK at your phone, you have no way of knowing you missed something.
What I mean is, there is no reminder beep like there was on my old cell phone. If I missed a call or text on my old phone, it would have a reminder beep that I could set to go off every few minutes after the original missed call or text.
I can't seem to find that feature on the blackberry.
This morning I was in the bathroom at work and my boss texted me. My phone was in my purse and I didn't think to go look at it when I returned from the Ladies Room.
Well an hour goes by and he emails me- did you get my text? I was like what text? Sure enough, I go to my bag and the reminder light is flashing and there is the text.
SOOOOO frustrating. I feel like I have to check the phone every 5 minutes.
Anyone know if there is a way to get a reminder beep?

I think you have to set that in your profile feature. I have mine set to vibrate when I have a reminder for texts and when I have a reminder for a calendar entry it sets off a tone. Hope this helps.

Yep, I have reminders for everything. You set it in profiles.

Can I ask you guys if you get audio reminders every few minutes though?
I feel like all mine does is flash the little light as a reminder.
I would like to hear a beep or something until I go to the phone and see the text or missed call, KWIM?

yeah you could set it to beep or make a sound. You could to your profile, then select advanced and highlight the profile you are in and then select edit and then you could assign the tone you want. I have the blackberry curve if that helps.

my peeve is that the hardest thing to do is make a simplet phone call!!!
And the Storm is a real POS! Anyone having trouble disconnecting a phone call?
