bladder infection
Has anyone had one of these during their pregnancy? What are some symptoms?

Re: bladder infection
I had one. It was extremely painful whenever I went to the bathroom. I was given an antibiotic.

Re: bladder infection
Just beware that many bladder infections have no symptoms while pregnant. This is one of the dangers during pregnancy, you could be walking around with one and not know it.
If you tend to have bladder infections/UTIs, let your OB know, and they will probably want to do routine urine cultures.

Re: bladder infection
If it's full blown you will probably need a perscription, but if it's in the early stages ( a little burning after you pee) you may be able to fight it off. Up your liquid intake and drink cranberry juice. That usually does the trick for me.

Re: bladder infection
Urgency, frequency or painful urination are symptoms.
If you suspect one, PARTICULARLY in your 3rd trimester, you need to tell your doctor IMMEDIATELY.
