blankets! when can they sleep with them?
My son is a year old and has been chilly at night. Can he sleep with a blanket yet?

My son was about 10 months old when he grew attached to his blanket and by attached I mean, the thing can cure a banged up finger and everything in a second!!! He loves it and at that age I let him sleep with it.
Just wanted to add that if you're nervous about having him sleep with a blanket, make sure he's wearing really warm PJ's - double them up if you have to. OR warm PJ's and a light blanket and he should be fine!

Ryan has been sleeping with a blanket since the beginning. He is 1 year old now and has a fleece blanket everynight with him.

Ryan has been sleeping w/one for naps since 4 months. He can move his head away if need be...but I don't put it up high just up to his waist.

I have a handmade crochet one with holes that we have been using for a couple months now. I don't put it past her chest. DD doesn't move around much at night so i stays put :)

A YEAR OLD????????????????? YOU ARE PROBABLY A NERVOUS NELLY LIKE MY MOM. MY DAUGHTER IS 8 MONTHS AND SHE HAS HAD A BLANKET NOW FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS. SHE NEEDS IT TO CUDDLE HERSELF TO SLEEP AT NIGHT, BUT I DONT COVER HER WITH IT, SHE USES IT TO HOLD, AND MY MOM FREAKS OUT HAHAHA BUT IT IS OK

Ava had been sleeping with a blanket since she wsa 4 months old, but now I'm afraid of her standing on it and using it as leverage to escape her crib. So no more blanket for us.
