Bleeding Again
This morning when I woke up to pee, the toilet was filled with bright red blood. I called my RE and rushed over to her office. She did another sonogram and the babies are fine with strong heartbeats. She didn't see any signs of blood. She also checked my progesterone level and it's 70. She said that I may bleed throughout my pregnancy and sometimes there is no cause. Again, I feel better having seen that both babies are ok, but I'm a nervous wreck. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Re: Bleeding Again
Wow! Your progesterone is great!
I bled because of a subchorionic hematoma with my early part of pregnancy (8ish weeks).
Then, I had a placenta previa & had a horrible bleed (bright red blood) at 13-14 weeks. I was pretty sure I was having a miscarriage at the time. The amount of blood was "amazing" as per the ER doc and OB. I bled for a long time from this. Was on bed rest for a week & would spot well into my 3rd trimester. I did need progesterone to quiet down my uterus (I started to contract). I also started to see a MFM with the second bleed. They were able to see where the blood was coming from (vessels in my placenta that were close to my cervix). They said a full bladder may have pushed me over the edge... so I had to drink lots of fluids to keep my hydration high, but also had to pee a lot to keep my bladder empty.
Bleeding is so scary... but my baby is due in less than a week... so it can work out.

Bleeding Again
My SIL is pregnant and has had massive bleeds 2x so far. She's only 15 weeks. Baby is perfect but she has subchroionc hematoma. Her doctor said it's not uncommon and plenty of people have it and go on to deliver healthy babies.

Re: Bleeding Again
I'm so sorry you are having such a scary start to your pregnancy! I wish I had advice for you, but you are doing the right thing by keeping in contact with your doc. I won't tell you not to stress it, bc we all know that's near impossible...just try to stay as positive as you can for those 2 little beans in there!

Re: Bleeding Again
I had bleeding (red, not pink or brown) during both pregnancies. It is SCARY! At the same time, though, if your progesterone is good (which it is) then there isn't really much else that you can do. Today I have 2 healthy kids, so just hang in there!
