Bleeding at 6 1/2 wks

Okay I just walked in the door and ran to the bathroom, I noticed a small amount of blood (spotting) like if I was starting my period.... I just had my ob paged, waiting for a call back. Has this happened to anyone?

I bled at 5w5d and everything was fine.

really?... Did you call your doctor or did you go to the ER? That's good news

I bled at 9 weeks for 2 days and then it stopped. I had a sono and labs just to make sure everything was fine and it was. Just breathe- ask the OB what you should do and take it from there. It's nothing to be concerned unless you spike a fever or start cramping..

Thank you guys!! The doctor just called back and told me to call the office early tomorrow and they will get me in for a sono and bloodwork. She also asked me what my blood type was..? she said if it was o - then I would need a rhogam (sp?) shot. I hope everything is okay

The same thing happened to me around that time with my 1st pregnancy. I was sooooo worried, but everything was fine. My OB said it's very very common.

I spotted for two weeks in my first trimester. Call your doctor to be on the safe side.

I did and called my ob. They just had me rest as much as possible, no exercise and as long as no cramping or red bleeding, and would see me at my scheduled 1st visit, 1 week later.

Turns out I had a preisac hematoma (fancy term for a clot) but it was absorbed by my body and all is fine. Turns out that they are pretty common and are often not even detected because internal sonograms are not usually done at 6weeks (they did one only because that same day I had a camper hitting me in my belly and I was freaked out)

I had this and it was a hematoma near the placenta. My baby was fine but I was put on bedrest from work a week..Then the bleeding stopped.. I had a girl..I was told people bleed more in the beginning when having a girl.

I just want to thank all of you who responded to my last post. I went to the doctors yesterday and they did a transvaginal u/s.... And I saw my little bambino!! The tech also let me hear the heart beat!!! IT WAS AMAZING! The doctor said it looks like implantation bleeding..? and not too worry.

Don't panic yet! Just sit with your feet up if you can & wait for your doctor to call back. I spotted at around 6 weeks with my daughter & it turned out to be nothing. Spotting in early pregnancy is quite common.

I bled twice right about 6 weeks ( more blood than just when I wiped). I am now 30 weeks and all is well.

I spotted at weeks 3-4, then had bright red bleeding for two days at week 6....I am now 26 weeks along and everything is fine so far.
It's very disturbing and scary, but very common apparently. My Ob made me feel better by telling me that it's common and that in order for the baby to be in serious danger, I would have been bleeding heavily enough to empty the uterus and its lining. TMI - sorry.

I spotted twice - once bright red after exercising, the other time looked like the start of my period, then turned to brown blood (but very light) for another day. I freaked both times but everything was just fine. Try not to worry just yet - it might be nothing!!!! I am now 33 weeks and doing just fine!
