Blinds/Window treatments?
what store?
DH and I got a quote from Empire the other night. We went with faux-wood (white) blinds. He started out saying $6900, then went down to $4100 after my ballbuster DH talked him down . . .
we have 27 (YES TWENTYSEVEN) windows and 1 set of sliding doors in our MBR.
Has anyone use Empire for blinds? What about Blinds-to-Go or JCPenny?
ALSO -- if you have white wood or faux-wood blinds have you had any problems with fading or yellowing? TIA!

Re: Blinds/Window treatments?
I would buy them at JCPenny. that is a lot of money even for 27 windows. That price is just for blinds?
JCPenny Sale They have a sale going on right now.
Blinds at JCPenny Even some of their Made-to-Measure blinds are on sale right now. maybe you should put in all the sizes you need at JCP online and see what price it comes up as online. Just a thought.

yea, thats for the blinds and installation. i should mention that a lot of the windows are oversized. its what we loved about the house (sooo sunny!) but obviously its gonna make it expensive too
im going to look into JCPenny though! someone else was telling me theyre good for window treatments too!

If your DH can install them, then you would probably spend less at JCP, I would think. I think it's the more you spend the more you get off kind of sale. Read to make sure though. GL!

Re: Blinds/Window treatments?
We ordered our real wood blinds from Home Depot and I LOVE THEM!! I got 3 double windows for around 450. Do you have to do the same treatment on all windows?? See what the have a Home Depot maybe

I've used Blinds To Go and J.C. Penney, and have been very happy with both of them. Prices were excellent.

I have the White Faux Wood Blinds from Home Depot and have never had a problem with them.
We did the same for the kitchen and our bedroom....now we will be doing the rest of the house. They are easy to install!! Your DH can do it!!!

Re: Blinds/Window treatments?
The previous owners put faux wood blinds in one BR and plantation shutters in the Kitchen, both from Blinds to go. I like them and they have not faded/turned yellow. We have lived here for 3 years, nit sure when they installed them.
