Blocked fallopian tube
Hi.. I just had aN HSG today... Worst pain ever felt... It showed my right tube blocked... My Doctor thinks it could be due to colon surgery i had 3 years ago (had part of my small bowel removed with rescetion)... Anyone out there have a blocked tube and what do they do for that....

Re: Blocked fallopian tube
I have one blocked tube and the other is swollen and mishapen (basically useless). There really isn't much they can do for it...if the other tube is okay, you can do IUI or try naturally. My friend got PG naturally after they removed her tube due to an ectopic pregnancy.

Re: Blocked fallopian tube
My left tube was blocked by an ectopic and is now partially clear - they can get the blue dye through it but not the wire. Depending on how bad it is they may be able to clear it completely or a little - as they did with me. But if you have one that is clear you should be fine.
Good luck

Re: Blocked fallopian tube
Your gall bladder is much higher than your fallopian tubes and it is on the left side of your upper abdomin. I think

my scars from my laprascopy are belly button, 6 inches higher, and two on my right side

Re: Blocked fallopian tube
I also have a blocked tube. My RE told me they could do surgery to try and open it but there were no guarantees it would work. DH and I opted to go straight for IUI's

Re: Blocked fallopian tube
How long were you trying for before, you found out you had a blocked tube? I just found out and it's been 6 months.. I have to call mt DR. tomorrow to discuss options... He said I can still try naturally but it will take longer, since i'll only be ovulating on the one side.... With IUI does Insurance cover it??? How much is it usually...
