Re: Blockparty Menu

My husband and I just had a block party in the beginning of July with about 40 people and this was our menu (I know you said that you didn't want to BBQ, but I will just give you our whole menu and you can see if you like anything from it):

Appts:
Potato chips & pretzels with dip
Broccoli and carrots with ranch dressing
Peanuts
Pizza rolls
Tostitos Chips with Salsa and Taco Dip

Lunch:
I got a 4ft hero to hold people over until dinner because I didn't want my husband to be behind the BBQ all day (our block party went from 11am-about 1pm). So I opened the hero and put all the slices on several trays. I put 2 trays out at a time so that the meat and cheese didn't sit out. I started serving that at around 12 noon and kept replenishing it as they got empty. When I tell you between 12 and 4 the hero went. With the hero I also put out some potato and pasta salad

Dinner:
My husband and his friends (they were all great and hung out with him and helped him BBQ everything) started the BBQ around 4:30pm and dinner was served around 5pm.
Hamburgers
Hot Dogs
Chicken
London Broil (this was amazing and the entire thing went, whatever he used to marinate it was AMAZING)
Pasta Salad
Potato Salad
Corn
Beans

Dessert:
My suggestion is to not buy too much dessert because everyone brings either dessert or beer (so I will list everything we had but a lot of it was brought)
Brownies
Fruit Salad with Cool Whip
3 Cakes
Tons of Cookies & Pastries
2 Watermelon Rolls from Friendly
Jell-O with Cool Whip
Cotton Candy
Ice Cream Bars

Drinks:
Beer
Mudslides
Pina Colada
Jell-O Shots
Cans of Soda
My husband put together a whole kid’s cooler full of water and the little huggs (juice)
Apple Juice
Fruit Punch

Activities We Had for Our Friends Kids (besides what was provided at the Block Party):
Slip-n-Slide
Jacuzzi (cause we don't have a pool, so my husband set the Jacuzzi to only 85 so the kids can go in it)
Smores
Sparklers
