Bloodcurdling screaming...any thoughts?
Abby, who is 7 months old, has been letting out these horrible screams periodically the past two days (several months ago, she would do a similar thing, but I think she was just testing out her voice). Last night was the worst, she did it for about 2 hours, and Katherine decided she wanted to scream along with her...oh and cry too. Anyway, last night, I thought it may have been constipation; it looked like she was struggling and bearing down. When I changed her diaper before bed, nothing there...which doesn't confirm or deny my suspicion. My DH suggested it could be teething...she got her first one last week. Oh, and she sleeps without a problem.
Do you have any insight or suggestions for me...needless to say, my nerves are SHOT!

Oh, I think I need to clarify...it's only during awake hours. But, I hope those night frights aren't on the horizon too!!

Antonio does that when he is sick...he refuses to lay down and he pretty much screams all night. The last time he did that to us was New Years Eve...he ended up having a throat and ear infection.
Have you taken her temperature? How is she acting now in the daytime...if it continues get her checked out by the ped.

But that's the weird thing...she seems absolutely fine otherwise. It's a mystery!

I agree with Teething. Sometimes it is a shooting pain that comes out of nowhere and others is can last for hours. 's for Abby and Mommy.

I'd say teething. The pain can be really intense and shooting.
Mine are 8 months now and well at 4:30 yesterday afternoon, just as I was starting to feed them out of nowhere DS went from to screeeeeeeeeaming then DD went from to . Then mommy went and after 15 minutes I needed to
All was fine with my DD, she just likes to up the drama Probably what your older DD was doing as well.
