bloodwork at OB when pregnant with #2
quick question. I had my first OB appt today (saw baby and heard hb  ). anyhow, after i left, i realized that they did not take any blood. I did have a beta test about 2 weeks ago, hcg was fine, btu i remember with #1 they took VIALS at hte first appointment. or do they not repeat it? btw, I used the same OB for #1. I'm going back in 2 weeks, so not really worried, I can always bring it up next time

at my first apt my doc gave me a script for the bloodwork to have done at lab. Then later on when I had review of bw.. he asked me why did i have you do that bloodwork.. you just had a baby recently.

I am also on baby #2 and they didn't take blood during my first appointment. They did soon after though so your time is probably coming!

with #2 I had all the same bloodwork done as with #1

I had less blood taken with #2 as well. They did not do all the genetic profiling since they had done it with DS #1 only a year & a half earlier. They did do the beta test, a full CBC, and the STD tests (AIDS, Hep, HPV, etc).
