Blowing up floats for the pool...
I just bought this good-size lounge chair for our pool, how the heck do you blow that big thing up? Is there a way with basic household products? We don't have a bike pump or anything or that much air in my lungs either

See, this is why women need a husband!
I would get a cheap electric pump from Target or Walmart, designed for this kind of inflation, since you'll need it more than just once.
Something like this: Air pump at Target

Most gas stations only have valves for car tire stems. Most inflatable lounge floats don't have those valves, so it wouldn't work. Plus, those are a b*itch to carry on your car. Anything inflatable has a tendency to want to fly when it's on top of a car.

Re: Blowing up floats for the pool...
We just went on vacation and had about 9 pool floats! My dad had an awesome idea and it worked with a little rigging... We used a small shop vac and instead of using hte vacuum feature, we used it in reverse, the blowing function and did it that way! Once we got the suction right, it blew them up in minutes!
