Blurry Vision
So 2 days i woke up and my world was blurry. I could see big things but that was about it. Didn't think much of it since i had so much going on and proceeded with life (I just moved on Sat to a new apartment and then I was helping my parents finish packing up- they moved to NC yesterday). Yesterday the same thing- everything was blurry. I called up my OBGYN and they wanted to see me immediately (which was prob a good thing- i wan't there as my parents drove away from our house).
The doc checked my blood pressure and it was perfect, no, no headaches, no ringing in the ears- so he elimated pre-clampsia or toxemia. He was pretty much stumped and said i have to see an optomologist! He said that pg women can have changes in their eyesight, but that it doesn't happen overnight! Today is better than the past 2 days but still blurry.
Has this happened to anyone else??

Re: Blurry Vision
This hasn't happened to me although I know it's one of the symptoms of preeclampsia. My doctors keep asking me if I have blurry vision or see spots since I seem to be developing other symptoms of preeclampsia. Hope everything is ok.

Re: Blurry Vision
usually blurry vision is a warning sign of toxemia. Good thing you got checked and that doesn't seem to be the issue.
PG hormones, especially progesterone can cause your "lense" in your eye to change shape and cause vision problems....
I haven't been able to wear my contacts all al during this PG and my vision has gotten worse.....
While I haven't had blurry vision I can definitely say that the pregnancy has causes me siginificant vision changes....
Hopefully the opthamologist will have some answers for you!

Re: Blurry Vision
definitely see an opthamologist. is it 1 eye or both? you could have a detached retina which is fixable as long as its caught right away.

Re: Blurry Vision
Have you had your GTT yet? Blurry vision can also be a sign of low blood sugar...I believe...
