BM Blue/Gray paint with what color carpet??

We gutted our downstairs (was a studio apartment) making into family room with bar. It's ground floor and not a basement.
I wanted to do Benjamin Moore Blue/gray like Van Courtland or Nantucket Fog..something Blue gray.

****What carpet would you put down for family room??? please help! Room is almost done and have to order paint and carpet this week...THANK YOU!!!!

Our downstairs den (basement) had BM silver lining on the walls and we have a berber carpet for flooring. It is light, with blue, beige, tan highlights and works perfectly. Our other den room had BM Manchester Tan on the wall and the berber carpet pulls all colors together nicely.

We have a bedroom painted in van courtland blue. While I love the color, it is very dark, so make sure you have plenty of light in your basement.

With that said, I'd go with a light or a cream colored berber carpet. Maybe one that has flecks in it. I think you'll need the lighter color to offset the potentially dark walls, but if its a higher traffic area, you'll want something that doesn't show dirt.

we have bm buxton blue which is on the darker side with grey undertones. we have hardwood but white moldings and cream area rug

i was thinking of going with a gray carpet?? the room has a large bay window so plenty of light down there all day..do you think a gray carpet with the blue walls would look good????
