BM Chelsea Gray or Revere Pewter?
Was going for a darker shade like Chelsea gray but so man people love the revere pewter..
Anyone paint with either?
The 2 look nice, maybe Revere pewter in the hallways/entry way and Chelsea gray in the living room. They seem to look nice together.

Re: BM Chelsea Gray or Revere Pewter?
My suggestion is to buy samples and put them on your walls. We just painted our entire house and thought we loved colors. Once they went on the walls, we hated them. Also, colors look different in different lights, so try it in every room you're thinking about and look at it in they daytime and at night. The size of the room will also factor since the darker the color you choose, the smaller the room will look.
Revere Pewter and Chelsea Gray are obviously both grays but they are SO different with different undertones. I'd put them on your walls and see how you feel. We just used London Fog, which is similar to the Revere Pewter in a few of our rooms and love it. We had tried darker grays, more similar to the Chelsea Gray and it was way too dark for our rooms.

BM Chelsea Gray or Revere Pewter?
We recently painted Rockport gray. Thought we initially wanted revere, but it was too light.

I thought revere pewter was too dark! I think it depends on your room and lighting...definitely get samples! We ended up with Stonington gray.

BM Chelsea Gray or Revere Pewter?
We bought a white foam core board and a bunch of mini paint sample jars in colors we liked and painted it on the white foam core so we could get an idea of the true color. We then walked this foam core around to different rooms and let them sit there in daylight/night time so we could get a feel as to how the colors would look in different lights. We primed the walls white first everywhere before painting the actual colors.

Re: BM Chelsea Gray or Revere Pewter?
We have both colors in our home and I love both. The main parts of my house are Revere Pewter. I originally painted my sitting area and hall way Chelsea Gray in my bedroom. Then where the bed is another color. The painter was still there the next day and I had repaint where my bed was. I am not going to lie, it is a dark gray, but it feels so adult and sophisticated.
Revere Pewter gets light if you have a lot of sunlight. It is darker in my basement, but still a light color.

We had Chelsea gray before we renovated our kitchen and I love that color although it is a tad bit dark. We have revere pewter in our home now and I love this color too it's lighter and the color seems to change with the sunlight. We have it in our open dining and living area. Can't go wrong with either just depends what you want lighter or darker.
