Board games - age?
At what age did your dc start playing simple games (I.e. Candy land, memory, etc.)? Thanks!

Board games - age?
Someone I know said they were trying to play candyland with there 3yr old twins (Sept birthday) they were not ready because didn't completely understand yet. My guess might be 3 1/2 to 4

Board games - age?
My 2.5 year old has memory and she likes playing with the cards and will find matches if someone does it with her but doesn't get the whole flipping the cards part yet.
She got candyland as a gift last christmas but we haven't attempted that yet. I still think it would be over her head. I'm considering Hi Ho Cherry o for this christmas bc a lot of the reviews said 2 year olds like it.

Re: Board games - age?
Around 3.5y is when my DS started to really enjoy board games (and understand how to play). We play Candyland, Hi Ho Cherry-O, Diego 123, etc.

Re: Board games - age?
we got the clifford "be a good friend" game when DS was 3. Started playing it around 3.5 He mostly got it then.
he's now 4 (sept birthday) and loves playing Kerplunk (although we do need to remind him of the rules each turn) and connect 4 (again, we help him out and "cheat" a bit)
he plays go fish and war and is pretty good at both.
At this point, we just play them to teach him about taking turns, sharing, and that it's ok to lose.

Re: Board games - age?
We started sequence, memory, and hi ho cherry o at 2. He cheats, but loves them. We got candyland for his 3rd bday, but he's not into yet. He got another sequence version and the sneaky squirrel game which he loves.

DD got Candyland and Chutes and Ladders last Christmas at 3.5 and it was perfect. She understood it perfectly
