boarding a puppy-massapequa area?

i am going away for a weekend in December and I am already panicking about where to leave my puppy. He is now 5 months old. I saw the boarding facilities at Best Friends Dog Training and I didn't love it. Does anyone have any other suggestions? We are actually taking the orient ferry so we could possibly leave him in Suffolk County if it is on the way.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Aldrich Animal Hospital in West Babylon (on Sunrise Hwy). I have boarded my dog there twice. My mom has also boarded her dogs there. I have had no problems with them at all.

Ditto, and I used to know an employee there. They play with the dogs and are very attentive to them.

I used to go to South Shore Animal in Seaford. I liked it very much.
