Boardwalk Empire - season finale -spoilers NEW LINK
I thought the previous episode was better than this one. I didn't feel as much tension with the finale since they closed up a lot of the story lines rather quickly.
The only cliff hangers I can foresee is if Margaret comes back to Nucky and what becomes of Richard. That had to be one of the greatest scenes, though, of Richard shooting up the house, killing everyone in sight to get the little boy out of the whore house and bringing him to safety. Revenge at last on Gillian - wonder if she survives her heroin overdose and realizes her grandson is missing.

I REALLY wanted Richard to shoot Gillian in the head!! I was bummed when he never even got to confront her!!! And I'm curious if Nucky left her there.....
I loved the episode, I have a bit of a crush on the actor who plays Al Capone, so it was fun to see him have a large role!!! He's so adorable and I think he plays the part well!!!

It was a good episode! I wonder if Margaret went through with the abortion?! Gillian has to die, the needle was meant for Gyp who is a lot bigger than her so how could she possibly make it through that! I was actually surprised to see that she even got herself out of the room. I think this is a way to get her and the kid out of the storyline.

she most likely wasn't planning to OD Gyp, she would have strangled him once he was subdued. The fact that she was still alive at the end points to her not ODing.... As for Margaret, yes she had the abortion....don't you remember the scene right before Nucky comes, she wipes blood from under her nightgown....

LOL  I LOVE when he is on too! And can you believe he is actually British? Really great episode, the scene at Jillian's house was intense and I said to my DH this is an extremely gory episode - I mean they didn't just show blood, they showed blood and guts. I wonder what will become of Margaret, does she really want to raise her kids in a tenement house vs a mansion with Nucky?
ETA yes I do believe she had the abortion because remember when she got up in the middle of the night she was bleeding?
And I KNEW someone was going to kill Gyp..just the way they had those 3 guys standing behind him. Crazy scene.

I loved this season!
I was kind of hoping Margaret went back to Nucky. They were both having an affair, and Nucky seems to truly care for the children.
I didnt get enough satisfaction how Gyp got killed... I wish he suffered more. Sicko!
I am dying to know if Gillian lives or not but I am assuming she does or wouldnt they have shown her die?
So I guess the next season will be Nucky's comeback but as a "clean" gangster?

this - i think a natural miscarriage. when she was at the doctor's house, I didn't realize what was going on until she was in the room with the wife. I thought she was interviewing for a Nanny position for herself!

That's the beauty of fiction, it's open to interpretation. I didn't see any surprise just relief that the abortion worked. It wasn't common practice back then so she didn't know if it would truly work.....

I love Richard !! I was hoping that he was going to shoot Jillian, poor Tommy she always kept him locked in his room in the W*ore house! I wonder if Tommy will stay with Richard's gf though or go back with Jillian. Glad Gyp finally died too. I also believe Margaret went through with the miscarriage. I am kinda surprised because she was in love with Owen and it was the one thing she had left of him (his child).

This show does not enjoy cliff hangers lol. It seemed everything was cleaned up. I don't think Margaret comes back based on the final credits song. Jillian's dead....sick twisted incestuous thing! What she did to the jimmy look a like was insane. LOVE Richard wish he would go back to the go and give little tommy a family

Intense house scene. All I kept thinking is "Don't kill Richard. Please don't let him die". I would love to see Richard happy.
I wanted Nucky to know that Richard was the one that shot everyone up & have him aboard. Although I'm not sure Richard would join the guy that killed Jimmy.

OMG seriously!!!!!!! Agent Van Alden is MIA and that is a clifhanger in itself - we suppose he went to jail but we don't really know.
Lucky was completely betrayed. So we will see what happens in the next season with him!!!!
Nucky gave 99% ownership to Rothstein in order to have Masarea's guys back away. Once he did that, Rothstein becaume the majority shareholder. The original owner of the dystillery (can't remember his name) then called the ADA and told them that he wanted Nucky arrested. However, Nucky doesn't own then dystillery anymore - so does thi smean that Rothstein is being set up to get arrested in the next season? I can't wait to see what happens with this!
Not surprised at all that Gyp was killed. He was such an unstable character and i thik the way he was killed was anticlimactic. Although i like that the guy who did kill him was the guy who's cousin Gyp killed by burying him in the sand.
I think Gillian should have died! I thought the same thing - if she was trying to kill Gyp by having him OD, then when he injected her with the needle, she should have died immediately. But maybe she just wanted to relax him to the point of being comatose for awhile and then she would kill him in a different way. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes dependant on the heroin now.
I loved the scene where Richard got Tommy out of the house! When he told tommy to close his eyes, i knew he was going to kill that thug because he was a sharpshooter in the war. I really hope that Julia decides to stay with him, especially since they look like they just found love together. I hope she doesn't become scared of him because of the way he showed up. I'm also surprised that her father was the one who actually understood that Richard had to do what he had to do to get tommy out of the house safely and just told him to clean himself up before coming home like this. I think he really respects Richard after he pummeled him to the ground.
I also believe that Margaret had the abortion. I'm surprised because I thought she would have wanted to keep Owen's child, but I guess not. I like Margaret and Nucky together. You can tell that in his own way, Nucky really cares for her and I love the way they were so into eachother when they first met. I think Nucky really took it out on her this season because she gave all that land away to the church, but neither of them are saints, both had affairs and I feel like they should both move and be together. Start fresh.

Actually The owner called the probies on Rothstien, not Nucky!!! Nucky was behind the whole thing, you see the guy feeding the owner the name of Rothstein! I love it! As for Lucky, this is when real life will come into play. The Herroine arrest happened in reality, and that is when he came out on his own and broke his tie to Rothstein. So he will be a big player next season, along with Al Capone, who also came into his own right about this time!
