Boating around Long Island
Has anyone ever taken their boat around LI from the North Shore through the city and around to the South Shore?
I'm doing it tonight and want to know if it's a rough ride.
We'll be going from East Northport to Massapequa.
TIA

I haven't done it but my dad has done it several times with his friends. There is a section in Manhattan that is pretty rough.

Our boat is on the North shore. It is a rough ride to the city and by the bridges. We love going to la guardia and watch the planes land and take off, they are so close!!! We went to City Island and that was smooth but never went to the south shore. Good luck, and have fun!

I have done it although I was not driving. I think what nrthshgrl is referring to is the "Devil" something...it's where all three bodies of water meet. It wasn't bad you just have to know what you are doing. Have fun!
